Chitwood Promoted to Nurse Manager
New Impressions Maternity Unit at Stephens County Hospital

Toccoa, GA ~~ Franklin County native, Tonya Chitwood, officially began her duties as the OB Nurse Manager on September 16th, 2008. Following graduation from Franklin County High School in 1994, she began employment at Stephens County Hospital as a nursing assistant on the Medical Unit while attending Brenau University in Gainesville. As a senior nursing student, Tonya staffed in the pediatrics unit as a nursing technician and in 2000, Tonya earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing and moved to a staff nurse position in New Impressions. Tonya, her husband Phillip and children Hailey and Cain, reside in Lavonia and are members of the First Baptist Church of Lavonia. She is the daughter of Shirley Strange and Tony Bratcher of Lavonia.
