MACOMSON RETIRES FROM STEPHENS COUNTY HOSPITAL

Juanita “Nita” Macomson has retired as the Auxiliary Manager at Stephens County Hospital working well past her formal retirement age. Employed at Stephens County Hospital for 15 years, Nita was joined by her daughter Terry Harper of Thomson, son Mike Macomson and grandson Mikey Macomson both of Lincolnton, North Carolina for an afternoon retirement reception. Current and past Auxiliary members in addition to personal friends of Nita and members of her church family attended the affair. Mr. Art Conway of Toccoa First Baptist Church offered the blessing and Auxiliary President Barbara Sheppard presented Nita with Honorary Stephens County Hospital Auxiliary Membership.

“Nita won’t be a stranger at Stephens County Hospital as she is continuing to serve the hospital as a Volunteer at the Information Desk,” announced Hospital Administrator Ed Gambrell.
