WATKINS RETIRES FROM STEPHENS COUNTY HOSPITAL

After 34 years of service, Mary Watkins (seated, center) retired from Nursing Services at Stephens County Hospital.Mary Watkins has retired from Nursing at Stephens County Hospital after 34 years of service. Mary began work at the hospital in 1977. For the first twenty-three years of her career she worked on Medical floor and for the remainder of years, she has worked in the Critical Care Units. Joined by her family, Mary greeted co-workers, hospital staff and volunteers at a tea on April 7th honoring her years of service and dedication to the hospital.

Mary WatkinsMary and her husband Mac have two sons, Jeff Watkins his wife Susan and, daughter Hannah and Cale Watkins, all were in attendance. Making presentations at the reception were Hospital Administrator, Ed Gambrell, Sheryl Howard, RN, Nurse Manager of Critical Care and Faye Taylor, RN, Director of Nursing. Ms. Howard, RN summed it up best when she said, "Mary can be characterized by two words - hard working and loves people.her patients, her co-workers and her family."
