After seven weeks of classroom
instruction, clinical rotation and
state testing, the six nursing
assistant students have graduated
the certification program. CNA's
are a vital part of the medical team,
providing routine medical assistance
to patients and typically work under
the direction of a registered nurse or
licensed practical nurse. A CNA's
main duties include providing hands
on nursing care to patients.
During the graduation celebration
held at the Cornerstone Restaurant,
lunch followed the presentation of
certificates and pins to each participant
by Lori Deatherage, RN, Course Coordinator.
Participants were: Autumn Cherban, Ashley Crunkleton, Stephen Horner and Lauren Weaver. Ms. Deatherage, RN addressed the group and expressed gratitude for the effort and hard work the group had done in the previous seven weeks. Melissa Cain, RN, Dee Defoor, RN, Sharon Jaloivick, RN and Katie Moore, RN serves as additional instructors. Faye Taylor, RN, Director of Nursing, expressed her gratitude for the hard work of the class also. "This class has been a terrific class and they will do just great serving our patients.
