LOIS WHITLOCK RETIRES FROM STEPHENS COUNTY HOSPITAL

Lois Whitlock, LPN has retired from Nursing at Stephens County Hospital after 41 years of service. Lois began work at the hospital on September 22, 1969. She has been a nurse in the New Impressions Maternal Child Unit her entire career at the hospital. Over the years, Lois has seen many changes and assisted in the birth of countless babies at Stephens County Hospital. Lois greeted co-workers, hospital staff, physicians and volunteers at a tea on May 17th honoring her years of service and dedication to the hospital. Making presentations at the reception were Hospital Administrator, Ed Gambrell, Faye Taylor, RN, Director of Nursing and Tonya Chitwood, RN, O.B. Nurse Manager. Ms. Taylor, RN described Lois as always smiling and always willing to come to work at a moments notice. Ms. Chitwood, RN expressed her gratitude by saying, "Lois was a dedicated employee who taught many of the young nurses multiple aspects of O.B. and Nursery nursing."
