County Hospital, has earned the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist

A polysomnogram is a test that records a patient’s physical state during
various stages of sleep and wakefulness. It provides data that is essential in
evaluating sleep and sleep-related complaints. “The sleep lab at Stephens
County Hospital has been instrumental in providing a better quality life for
our sleep patients who have been diagnosed and treatment started. With Jim’s
registry certification, the proof is there that their sleep results are scored
accurately and their test results are correct,” says Hospital Administrator,
Ed Gambrell. Research has shown that many chronic health conditions are linked
directly to sleep apnea which can be treated once properly diagnosed using sleep
studies. With more than 40 million American’s affected by sleep disorders,
it is important for patients to seek out sleep clinics that employ Registered
Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT).
Jim is a registered respiratory therapist and has been employed
with Stephens County Hospital as the Respiratory Therapy manager
for ten years. He resides in Toccoa with his wife, Jennifer and
