Nurse Hero 2003 Announced
at Stephens County Hospital
National Nurse Week, observed annually during the second week
of May, is a special time for the employees of Stephens County
Hospital's Nursing department. It is during this week that they
bestow the "Nurse Hero" designation upon a coworker.
Employees select the nominees based on several characteristics:
consistently goes beyond the call of duty, promotes a positive
image for nursing, is admired for their achievements and qualities,
exhibits positive customer relations and behaviors, cares for themselves
and others and is committed to the nursing profession.
2003 Nurse Hero nominees with Faye Taylor, RN Director Of Nurses (right
front) include: (L/R) Wilma Pickens (Surgery), Anne Rogers, RN (Medical),
Josh Gastley, RN (Stepdown Unit), Nurse Hero Paige Randall, RN (Obstetrics),
Michelle Sheriff, RN (Surgical) and Sheryl Howard, RN (Nursing Administration).
Not pictured are Jewell Whitmire, RN (Medical), Sara Lee Jennings,
RN (Intensive Care), and Hiliary White (Surgical).
