Nurse Hero 2004 Announced at Stephens County Hospital

Pictured with the Director of Nurses, Faye Taylor, RN, 2004 Nurse Hero Kay Cox, RN has been employed by Stephens County Hospital since 1985 and works in the Outpatient Surgery Department. Kay is married to Mike Cox and has two children, Will and Claire. Congratulations Kay!

National Nurse Week, observed annually during the second week of May, is a special time for the employees of Stephens County Hospital's Nursing department. It is during this week that they bestow the "Nurse Hero" designation upon a coworker.

Employees select the nominees based on several characteristics: consistently goes beyond the call of duty, promotes a positive image for nursing, is admired for their achievements and qualities, exhibits positive customer relations and behaviors, cares for themselves and others and is committed to the nursing profession.
