TOCCOA, GA --- Bowen & Watson, Inc. was recently selected as the General Contractor for the Stephens County Hospital Patient Room Renovation. Approximately 21,000 sq. ft. of existing space will be transformed on the2nd and 3rd floors, which include interior demolition down to the concrete structure and that space being completely rebuilt. The construction will be performed in three phases with the first phase involving the current Step Down area and the corresponding area on the third floor, which will enable the hospital to keep most patient rooms operational. “We have worked with Bowen & Watson on several renovation projects so they are very familiar with our facility”, says Hospital Administrator Ed Gambrell.

“This project will also include upgrades to the mechanical and electrical systems which will enable Stephens County Hospital to fully utilize the technology in today’s healthcare environment and into the future.”. The contract amount is $4,641,850 and construction is slated to begin in January 2007 and will be complete in February 2008.
